Mildura Base Public Hospital (MBPH) is a responsive regional health service looking at a new and bright future under public management. Our focus is on providing a patient centred approach to care when members of our community are at their most vulnerable, and we do this through a workforce of close to 1000 employees who provide care 24/7 to a catchment area of 80,000 community members.
At MBPH our main goal is to provide exceptional patient care to all our patients and we are looking for a positive and adaptable Patient Services Clerk to join the team in our brand new Paediatric ward.
About the Role:
This part time role is for a fixed term period to April 2022 and would be a wonderful opportunity for an experienced administrator who is interested in kickstarting a career in the healthcare industry.
Your responsibilities would include;
Managing request for referrals
Complete accurate administration for all new admissions and discharges
Maintain all patient files and records with a strong understanding of the principles of confidentiality and privacy
Attending to switchboard in a proficient and friendly manner
To be successful in this role, you will have proven interpersonal and time management skills, the ability to communicate with a multidisciplinary team and offer exceptional customer service at all times with a commitment to excellence in all that you do.
Previous administration experience in a health or medical field and a Certificate in Medical Terminology is desired but not essential.
