About the Role:

The recent reconfiguration of MBPH’s Medical and Surgical Wards has provided the exciting opportunity for experienced Registered Nurses to join our nursing team.

As a registered Nurse, you will have AHPRA registration, a, possess extensive clinical skills and experience within the medical field (preferably 2 years clinical nursing experience. You will have the ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of the patient.  You must be available for a mixture of shifts, which will include weekdays, lates, nights, weekends and public holidays.

The Department of Health offers $13,000 to eligible International health workers to assist with relocation until June 2023. Mildura Base Public Hospital may also provide relocation assistance, on a case by case basis.

To work in Australia, you need to be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, New Zealand Permanent Resident or have a valid visa that has full Australian working rights. If none of these categories apply, MBPH may consider offering visa sponsorship under a temporary skill shortage or other suitable visa type depending on individual circumstances and eligibility.

MBPH does offer permanent residency pathways based on eligibility in accordance with our procedures after you have been working with our health service for a period of 18 months to 2 years.

In addition, you will also have:

  • an understanding of scope of practice in line with relevant registration
  • knowledge of legislative requirements in relation to nursing practice
  • the ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
  • a focus on time management and great communication skills
  • Focus on patient-centered care
